Training Leadership under Pressure - English
This Leadership training course will help you develop new skills. You’ll discuss and practice real-life situations, allowing you to see whether your behavior as a leader is effective. You’ll grow with every exercise and will be able to handle any situation afterward.
Leadership and self-reflection are two sides of the same coin. Leaders reflect on their decisions and communication to continue growing as leaders. The team you lead trusts you, seeks collaboration, and decision-making is necessary. To that end, as a leader, you create a safe environment and space for learning processes. But how do you do that?
Leadership doesn’t stand alone. A goal is needed, such as becoming world champion or finishing first in the league. As a leader, you are not the goal. You are the one who makes the goal possible. Your team doesn’t follow you because you’re so nice or fun. Team members follow someone with a goal, someone who creates the conditions necessary for them to perform. Your team is looking for someone who supports them in carrying out their work and who clarifies the purpose of that work.
With this Leadership training, you’ll learn to lead from your own role and become the leader your team needs.

Learning in practice: Self-reflection and regulation for Production Leaders
Leading in a production environment is a highly pressuring task: unforeseen problems, high workloads, conflicting priorities, dealing with difficult people, difficult conversations and continuous demands from above and below.
A team member makes the same mistake for the third time? Your team is not even close to reaching production targets and everyone is looking at you? Short on staff, yet expected to deliver? Management increases the target again? Facing consistent changes due to AI?
During those times, your reaction can make or break your leadership effectiveness.
- What happens inside you?
- How do you normally respond?
- What effect does your reaction have on others?
- Do you think that’s the best you can do?
You learn the answer to such questions through the following;
Leadership Training Program
Part 1: Developing self-reflection
- Learning through observation, critical and analytical thinking
- Understanding biases in yourself and colleagues
- Asking the right questions for your specific objectives
- Conclusion: Workshops in leadership and self-reflection
In this part you learn to look at difficult situations as your growth opportunities. You pause, look and analyze your behavior as well as others’. Reflection becomes your tool for understanding decisions, actions and performances. You’re provided with practical tools that guide your reflection to achieve maximum learning from each experience.
Part 2: Developing self-control
- Understanding one’s behavior and how to change it
- How to respond under high pressure instead of reacting
- Learn to control attention and improve decision making
- Integrating new perspectives and formulating action plans
- Conclusion: Workshops in leadership and self-regulation
In this part you learn to recognize and understand your triggers. You learn to improve the patterns that don’t serve your goals or your team’s. Regulation becomes your tool for changing decisions, actions and performances. You are provided with practical tools to regulate your emotions, then you are able to respond with clarity and intent when the pressure is high instead of reacting out of routine.
Part 3: To which destination do you lead?
- A vision that unites your team towards the same direction
- The value behind each step
- Translating the business case’s vision and mission into actions
- Conclusion: Workshops in leadership and self-reflection
In this part, you learn how to develop a vision for your team. And the actions that this vision translates into for each member. You develop visionary team members whom understand the value of each assignment they carry for the organization and for the customer.
Part 4: Lead with influence not power: develop trust and ownership within your team
- Establishing trust and responsibility in your team
- Clear role responsibilities and expectations
- Setting frameworks for your team; psychological safety, drive out fear, constructive disagreements and increasing commitment
- Conclusion: Workshops in leadership and reflection
In this part, you learn how to create an efficient team based on the objectives of the business case. How to enable them to see your vision and know their role in achieving that vision. You learn frameworks to enable your team to take responsibility and feel safe to express their opinions and own their mistakes.
Part 5: Lead your team towards growth and high performance
- Setting frameworks, defining goals and working with KPIs
- Delegate with trust that's met with responsibility
- How to work together as one team not in isolation
- Conclusion: Workshops in leadership and working together
In this part you learn how to establish a growth mindset in your team. You enable them to think in terms of results and actions. Delegation is a leadership requirement; you learn how to trust that your team will take responsibility for the delegated assignments. You create a dynamic of working together as one system instead of in isolation.
Leadership and Self-Reflection as a duo
As a leader, you do what you do. You think you’re doing it right. Maybe you are, maybe you aren’t. That’s where self-reflection comes in. Self-reflection is viewing your own performance through an outside perspective. You step outside of yourself, and observe what you’re doing and the effects of your actions. You learn from this, so that when the same situation arises later, you can choose to act differently. After all, that same situation will certainly arise again if you act the same way. It is therefore wise not to repeat the same reaction, because then you and your team won’t make any progress. That’s stagnation. With this Leadership and Self-Reflection program, you can at least be sure that you’ll find the path to growth and that you can continue to follow that path for the rest of your career as a manager and as a person.

Become the leader you always wanted to be
An interesting phenomenon is that everyone has an opinion about leaders. Also, everyone has probably had a manager at some point whom, in their opinion wasn't doing a good job. We’ve noticed that people who step into leadership roles often make a range of common mistakes at first, despite their own experiences with leaders. This is also evident from the leadership research we conducted among managers. It’s not the case that just because you’ve had a bad experience, you’ll automatically do better yourself. With this Leadership and Self-Reflection Training, you can prevent yourself from taking the wrong turns and developing incorrect habits. Exercising leadership incorrectly is confrontational and leads to stress.

More questions about leadership training Leadership under Pressure - English
What is leadership, and how do you develop your leadership style?
1. The leader sets the direction. You need to know what you want to achieve with your department or team. You can call this your mission, vision, or goals. Your team members need to understand this direction and the purpose behind it. This creates clarity and motivation.
2. Empower your people to do their work. Make sure team members are able to make their contributions. They’re the ones doing the work; they’re the professionals.
3. The leader remains calm under all circumstances. Emotions lead to a loss of authority, a lack of objectivity, and poor decisions. So take good care of yourself. Stay balanced and objective, maintain your course, and work on the team’s development. Keep your ultimate goal in mind.
What does leadership training involve?
Leadership training provides insights into leadership styles and their effects. Afterward, you’ll need to learn the skills. You’ll practice different styles, competencies, and various real-world situations. Leadership competencies include, for example, listening, asking questions, conducting analyses, delegating, and maintaining direction. You can practice these and become proficient.
What does it take to be a good leader?
To start with, you need responsibility, ownership, trust, and a vision. That’s just the tip of the iceberg, but it does form the foundation. You also need to be able to delegate, share, collaborate, analyze, and make difficult decisions. Anyone can make easy decisions when things are going well. Making difficult decisions under challenging circumstances, that’s the real art.
What training do you need to become a manager?
At the operational level—such as that of a team leader, shift leader, or foreman—you need basic leadership training combined with a course on operational management methods, such as 5S, Daily Stand-up, and Problem Solving. At the management level, you need more. There, you delve into personal development, supplemented by substantive knowledge of management methods, communication, law, and finance.
Can leadership be learned?
Certainly, to a large extent, but you have to want to. You can learn to listen, as well as to set goals, ask questions, conduct analyses, apply management methods, and lead by example. If you want to, you can learn it.
Can anyone lead?
In principle, anyone can lead, as long as you’re willing to learn and apply the principles of leadership. There’s no such thing as complete mastery of leadership. Every leader continues to learn. You make mistakes, and you learn from them (Simon Sinek: We are all students of leadership). You’ll keep getting better as long as you’re willing to keep developing yourself.
What is leadership training?
Leadership training is a process of becoming aware of your own behavior and then developing the behaviors necessary for a leader. Think of skills like listening, providing direction, and delegating. Leaders must first become aware of what they’re doing, examine the effects of those actions, and then learn new behaviors and observe the new results.
How much does leadership training cost?
Market prices for leadership training range from 50 euros to 2,000 euros and up. It’s especially important to assess the quality of the training. A leader or manager who doesn’t lead effectively costs the organization an enormous amount of money—tons of it. The team doesn’t function properly, processes are costly, products are delivered late, and there’s rework. The leader’s entire salary, plus all associated waste, represents the cost to the organization of poor leadership. It’s surprising that so little attention is paid to this topic.
